OSINT & Cyberinvestigation
5th EDITION – APRIL 1, 2025
FORUM INCYBER @ LILLE GRAND PALAIS
Once again this year, we heard some excellent presentations on the potential applications of OSINT.
Fascinating discussions with Bellingcat, the BBC, and ESJ Lille on the challenges of investigative journalism and the information war (#L2I)
A focus on Russia, Iran, and Niger, drawing on expertise from INPACT, Xavier Tytelman, AEGE, and the FOX Project.
A clear assessment of the growing need for compliance, anti-fraud measures, and crime prevention for businesses and law enforcement agencies (Elephantastic, OSINT-FR, Guerbet, Lexfo, Signal AI).
You can’t just wing it when it comes to OSINT. Whether it’s the security measures to put in place, knowledge of specific tools, or—above all—the methodology and reasoning you need to master, all of this must be learned, and above all, you have to practice (train, baby, train!), particularly through CTFs or specialized OSINT training.
These discussions were followed by the traditional Aper’OSINT, then the After’OSINT, allowing participants to delve deeper into the discussions from earlier in the day in a relaxed setting.
Thank you to all the participants, to our sponsors Elliot Higgins and Micah Hoffman, and to Alexis for this adventure that has now been going on for four years. Onward to the 5th edition in 2026!
